Exploring the snow-covered peaks of the Hebra region in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leads to many hidden discoveries and engaging side quests. One particularly rewarding side adventure is the Treasure of the Secret Springs quest, which rewards adventurous players with a piece of iconic ancient headgear. Solving the riddle requires a bit of environmental navigation and clever puzzle solving in the cold mountain caves.

Starting the Quest in Rito Village

To begin this side quest, head over to Rito Village after making significant progress in the local storyline. Speaking with Tulin reveals a mysterious riddle concerning three distinct hot springs scattered around the snowy landscape. The clue mentions that a secret treasure lies directly at the central point where the waters of these three springs meet.

Locating the Hidden Cave Entrance

Opening your map reveals the Sturnida, Goflam, and Sherfin secret hot springs spread across the northern mountains. Chart a course toward the intersection between these three landmarks, located just southwest of the Biron Snowshelf region. Upon arriving at the exact spot, you will discover a massive block of ice sealing off a cavern entrance. Melt the ice obstruction using a flame weapon, fire fruit, or a camp fire to gain entry into the cave system below.

Draining Water into the Underground Chamber

Once inside North Biron Snowshelf Cave, navigate past the rocky obstacles until you reach a large central chamber featuring a stone statue. Looking around the walls, you will notice multiple blocked water channels sealed by destructible rock formations. Ride the upward air current in the middle of the room to gain height with your paraglider. From the air, attach Bomb Flowers to your arrows and shoot out the three cracked rock walls to let the spring water flow down.

Claiming Your Quest Reward

After successfully opening all three water channels, the central chamber fills up and triggers a hidden mechanism behind the statue. The stone statue slides aside to reveal a secret passage containing a treasure chest. Open the chest to collect the Vah Medoh Divine Helm, a powerful helmet that grants cold resistance and boosts Tulin's combat abilities.
